Chincoteague Cultural Alliance Plein Air Event, Sept 7-14, 2024
More than 50 fine artists from the Mid-Atlantic area and beyond gather from September 7 through September 14 to paint outdoors (en plein air) on Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. On Saturday evening, September 14, their art work will be displayed for sale at at the Chincoteague Center. The show is open to the public with free hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. A portion of all sales goes to help the CCA promote the arts on the island. For more information, please visit the CCA website.

Plein Air Painter Reception
Enjoy a glass of wine and reception at Ocean House on Saturday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. to meet the artist. Earlier that day, catch Jessica Shaffer in action as the sea air, sweeping views of the Atlantic and more than 150 years of history serve as inspiration for a work of art.
