Christmas Afloat: watercolor boat painting | 8 x 10 in

Description

Original watercolor landscape painting by Rhode Island artist Jessica Shaffer.  Inspired by a trip to Camden, Maine, I photographed this boat on a walk to Sherman Cove, just down the road from the Bed and Breakfast we were staying in.  I loved the boat’s profile and took artistic license adding Christmas decorations to the painting to celebrate life aboard.  I lived onboard our family’s sailboat several summers as a kid and loved the experience.  The deep aqua waters and evergreen trees in the background were the perfect compliment to the holiday lights.  This original watercolor painting is 8 x 10 inches on Arches watercolor paper with an 11 x 14 inch ivory matte.  Frame available upon request.
