Description
After reading so much about the spectacular artists community on Monhegan Island, last summer I went for the first time to hike and paint for a few days. The rugged Maine coastline was spectacular along the the length of the oceanfront trail around the island. On a story morning with an unsettled sky, I set up to paint this beautiful view of Squeaker Cove. I wanted to capture the stormy sky against the rugged, rocky coastline and gorgeous aqua blue water crashing on the cliffs.
