I painted this en plein air from the overlook platform at the Conanicut Island Sanctuary. I love the peaceful feeling of the salt marsh meadows, the seabirds calling and reeds blowing in the winds. This 8 x 10 painting captures the warm fall glow of the later afternoon sun and clear blue sky.
